Elementary

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

Our mission is to guide every child into a genuine and unshakable relationship with Jesus Christ that continues to mature and develop along with the child.

We do this by providing a safe and loving place for children to learn, play, and worship. Every child has an important place in God's story and in KidMin children get to begin exploring just what that means.

Children's Ministry is here to serve children from babies thru 4th grade.  During our Sunday services, your child will experience his/her very own service with worship, a Bible lesson, and hands on activities in a safe, friendly, and enjoyable environment.

Sunday Mornings

We love having your family share your Sunday morning with us!
We hope your experience at Brenham Bible Church leaves you smiling and ready to come back.
Here are a few helpful hints to make your morning go smoothly.

We make sure every child...

Is SAFE

Upon arrival, visit any of our BBC Kids check-in desk located in
to the right of the entrance to the Main building. Provide the
phone number you used to register.

Once you have your child’s name tag and guardian receipt you
may take your child to his or her classroom or you may allow them to go their classroom alone.

To pick up your child, please bring your pick-up tag to the
Elementary area. Please keep the pick-up tag ready to show at the classroom door. If you do not have the pick-up tag for the child you are picking up, you will be asked to show your driver’s license to a staff
member.

Is LOVED and has FUN

Your child will be greeted by volunteers who are happy to see them! Our volunteers will engage with your child and help them make a friend.

We want kids to have fun, be eager to come to church each
week, and not want to leave when it’s over! And we’re here to
partner with and encourage parents as they spiritually nurture
their children.

We ensure that all our volunteers are screened with applications
and background checks. This is for the safety of your children.
Parents who want to visit the classroom will need to speak to the
Elementary Ministry Leader to arrange a visit.

Hears GOD’S WORD

Kids need to feel like they belong, so the goal of our Elementary
Ministry is to create a place first- through fourth-graders can call
their own. We help kids develop lifelong friendships and learn to
love God through a relationship with Jesus Christ and know He
loves them, too.

Through The Gospel Project they will work their way through the entire Bible two times before moving up to student ministry. Each lesson focuses on a key verse to memorize, a Bible story, life application, crafts and games, prayer, as well as worship time and Bible study time. The lesson is broken up between sections where all of our children  come together for large group and time in small groups with other children your child's age.

BELONGINGS

Please have your child’s belongings clearly marked with his or her full name.   Don't Forget your bible.  Kids earn prizes from the treasure box by coming on Sunday's, bringing a bible, and even bringing a friend.

SNACKS

Please make sure your child has been fed his or her meal before arriving to church. We offer a small snack for children 2 through
4th grade.

For those who have these special dietary needs please bring an appropriate snack for your child. Generally, no outside snacks are
permitted. However, children with food allergies may bring an outside snack. Please tell the classroom teacher about your
child’s allergy during check-in.

Well Child Policy:

Our heart is to keep every child safe and cared for.

To minimize spreading germs, parents are requested to not bring sick children to church. Parents may be requested to pick up children from their classroom if they have any of the following symptoms:

• nasal discharge (other than minimal, clear nasal discharge)
• any discharge or substance around the eyes
• fever (must be fever-free for 72 hours without feverreducing
medication per CDC guidelines)
• unidentified rash
• inflamed throat and/or mouth
• excessive coughing or sneezing
• head lice
• open wounds without proper bandages
• unusually lethargic or irritable behavior
Children being treated with antibiotics should be on their
medication for at least 72 hours before entering one of our
classrooms.

We do not provide any medications while children are in
classrooms, except bandages. If a child needs medication, we
will ask the parent to come administer it. Epi-pens and inhalers
are an exception.
